My name is Kiara Coyle, and I relocated from the Kansas City area to Lincoln in August 2018. I am glad to return and continue my journey as the Junior High School Science and Mathematics teacher. I have taught high school and middle school science courses, including Biology, Physical Science, Physics, and Chemistry, including AP-level classes. I have taught middle school Math and Science grades 5-8 and have also taught Chemistry, Anatomy & Physiology, and Toxicology at the college level. I have a Bachelor of Science with majors in Chemistry and Mathematics, a minor in Physics, and a Master's degree in Forensic Science and graduate courses in Educational Leadership. I have professional teaching licenses in Kansas and Illinois with several endorsements. Before teaching, I worked as an analytical chemist and forensic scientist.
I am an active member of the following professional associations:
National Science Teaching Association, American Chemical Society, American Association for Advancement of Science, and American Academy of Forensic Sciences.
This year I will teach 5th-8th grade Science and Math as well as some special courses: Introduction to Robotics / Computer Technology. I am happy to be part of the Carroll Catholic School Community and to teach the students this year.
